Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin. It is still a large commercial measure as usual at Jet Air Group at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport.
That will soon change.
The CEO Alan Timmerman said that the staff of 71 people from Jet Air will work throughout the day from Tuesday to Saturday for the NFL draft.
“Let’s go 24/7, what we don’t do,” he said. “We are going to have airplanes that are late at night, people who leave after concerts, things like that. We are only trying to prepare for everything. What you cannot, you cannot anticipate everything, but we are doing our best.”
Regular businesses will also continue during the week of the event.
“Some of our maintenance people will actually exercise in the line helping the planes to enter and leave. Fueling and things,” Timmerman said. “Some of our cleaning people who clean for airlines, after they finish cleaning, will come here and work and help with the transitory plane.”

Avflight, another private supplier at the airport, is bringing additional staff to help.
“We have a great staff here in Green Bay and we are bringing some team members of some of our other places,” said Darin Everett, Senior Regional Manager of Avflight. “Some with experience in last year’s draft in Detroit, and some team members who directed the RNC last year in Milwaukee that will be here throughout the four or five -day event.”
Everett said there will be some differences in normal daily operations.
“It’s a little more scheduled. We know who comes most of the time,” he said. “It is a fun event. It is an excellent way for the rest of the world to see Green Bay. That is what we highlight while we enter this.”

It is not lost in Jet Air or Avflight that Green Bay’s first impressions begin with the airport flight service.
Timmerman pointed out a great advantage in the case of the draft.
“During a normal packers game, a team leaves happy, a team leaves annoying, because one loses and another wins,” he said. “Here, I think this will be a victory for everyone if we expect, with concerts and fireworks and all the other things that happen. It is exciting.”
