- The Semiprivado Slate Aviation air operator has launched a new summer service between West Palm Beach and Nantucket.
- Flights include spacious business class seats and without stressful TSA lines.
- The flights until September 30 and are as low as $ 695 per seat.
Flying Private from Palm Beach has always been available for those of certain media: I can see Air Force One and Elon Musk’s Jet fly over my head weekly, but now, thanks to a new association between the slate aviation based in XO and West Palm Beach, it is becoming more accessible to the other 99.9 percent.
From April 26 to September 30, Slate Aviation will administer a private transport service shared to Nantucket (ACK) from Palm Beach International Airport (GDP) and Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL).
The new Nantucket service is based on the transport operations between southern Florida and New York, including Westchester County Airport and other terminals only for members.
The best part? You can reserve these luxurious semi -relief flights next to the seat instead of renting a complete plane. Then, instead of a price in the mid -five figures, it can be raised at rates from $ 695 per seat, and can reserve everything from an easy application to use.
I was so excited about the perspective that I took a seat in an elegant CRJ-200 bomber during the opening weekend between southern Florida and Nantucket. And after experiencing traveling the board, I can confirm that the term “transport” does not do justice to this service.
Flights are luxury epitome, with only 18 large seats (the entire executive class); Free wi-fi; Catering for my favorite five -star local restaurant, buccan; and a basket of sandwiches that ashamed all the offers of commercial airlines.
There are no TSA lines or approach aggravation. There is only a brief walk from the living room of a private terminal to the plane, an informative security session of its captain, drinks of drinks taken by two smiling hostess, and then is in the air.
Perhaps even before planning: an unexpected advantage of flight semi -evidence is that its flight can leave early if all passengers are present, which gives it more time to absorb an afternoon of Nantucket, even if that afternoon it is a sad introduction to the nickname of the island, the gray lady. (Fortunately, my flight coincided with the Annual Narciesos Festival of the Island, so the sea of premises in cheerful tones, “Happy Daffy!” Greetings and millions of yellow narcisos in full flowering illuminated our days despite the cold and wet spring climate).
I brought a bride and I only had 24 hours to explore on this visit for the first time Nantucket, but since the island is only seven by 14 miles, it is enough time to reach the most prominent aspects. We stayed in the flan, we appeared to see the iconic 26 -feet -tall flan bush, we grabbed ice cream pumps from the juice bar and a straight spring fish bite.
Now, with only three (spoiled) hours separating the tropical palm beach from the northeast sleep full of flowers that is Nantucket, I have the feeling that the two islands will look much more on each other this summer.
Slate aviation flights between southern Florida and Nantucket will take place two days per week until May 31, then five days per week from June 1 to September 30. To reserve, download the application or for more information, visit Flyslate.com.
