Luxury expedition cruise ship SH Diana docks in Tenerife for the first time

The port of Santa Cruz welcomed a new surprising arrival to Tenerife yesterday, on May 7, with the first call of SH Diana, a cruise of the state -of -the -art expedition operated by Swan Hellenic Cruises.

The occasion was marked with the traditional exchange of plates aboard the container, a custom that celebrates inaugural visits to the ports.

Built in 2023 in Helsinki’s shipyard, the SH Diana sails under the Panama flag. Metering 125 meters long and 23 meters of beam, the ship has a gross tonnage of 12,100 GT and accommodates up to 192 guests served by 141 crew members.

Designed for adventure, with comfort in mind

What distinguishes SH Diana is its design specially designed for extreme environments. It has a PC6 polar-class reinforced helmet and a Hybrid Diesel-Electric Propulsion System, which allows it to operate in remote and challenging regions, while significantly reducing its environmental footprint.

On board, the guests enjoy 96 cabins and suites with elegant elegance, mostly with private balconies, along with luxury services that include a restaurant, living room, gym, spa, panoramic sauna, library and a heated outdoor pool.

For excursions, the ship is equipped with 14 zodiac ships and two auxiliary vessels, allowing passengers to explore isolated destinations and difficult access costs easily.

Continuing the trip through the Canaries

After its stop at Tenerife, the SH Diana is scheduled to call the port of La Palma (May 8), continuing its trip through the Canary Islands as part of its spring itinerary.

The arrival of the ship has drawn attention not only for its impressive appearance but also for the growing attraction of the cruise expedition, where luxury meets the adventure in some of the most pristine environments in the world.
