The mini cruises of the United Kingdom are very popular and if you have not made this type of trip before they offer a great opportunity to see what the cruise is about. My wife and I embarked on a cruise from Southampton visiting Zeebrugge (for witches) and then in the heart of Amsterdam aboard celebrity apex.

The Celebrity Apex ship is one of the Edge series of Celebrity Cruises. It was launched in 2020, and this ship of 130,818 tons adapts to approximately 2,910 passengers that offer an elegant and high -end experience with an avant -garde design, various gastronomic options and excellent entertainment. With its innovative spaces, including magic carpet and infinite veranda cabins, Celebrity Apex redefines the traditional cruise experience, combining contemporary luxury with a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere.

So what makes celebrity apex stand out?

Design and ship atmosphere

The ship has an elegant and modern aesthetic with an approach in open spaces, natural light and a great design. The ship’s interiors were designed by Kelly Hoppen, a renowned British designer known for her contemporary and cozy style. The neutral color palette (blue, gray and soft ground tones) gives the ship a sensation of a boutique hotel.

One of the most striking features is the magic carpet, a cantilever platform that moves up and down on the outside of the ship, serving different purposes at different levels. It is transformed into a fresco dining area, a lounge or a boarding platform, depending on its position. This innovation not only adds to the futuristic aspect of the ship, but also improves the general experience of passengers.

The resort cover, with the main pool, Martini’s glass hydromassage bathtubs and a solarium, is a beautifully designed space with a lot of space. The roof garden, a lush withdrawal full of plants, was one of our favorite places to relax in the sun, perfect to enjoy cocktails.

Accommodation: Infinite veranda and suites

Celebrity Apex accommodations establish a new standard for cruise cabins. The most notable innovation are infinite veranda cabins, which replace traditional balconies with floor -to -ceiling glass doors that can be opened just by touching a button, essentially merging the balcony with the interior of the cabin. This design creates more space and creates an inner-exterior experience, we loved it!

For those looking for a more exclusive experience, The Reteat offers the guests of the Suite a private experience and includes with personalized butler service, a private restaurant (Luminae) and an isolated terrace.

Meal

Dining on Celebrity Apex is a culminating point of cruises, with 29 restaurants, bars and halls that offer a wide kitchen selection.

The ship has four main dining rooms of courtesy: Normandie, Toscan, Cosmopolitan and Cyprus, each with a different theme and special dishes. Instead of a traditional main dining room, this configuration offers more variety and a restaurant atmosphere. The Oceanview Café is the buffet area that provides a wide food selection, and the room service is also available 24 hours a day.

The specialized gastronomic options include Le Petit Chef: we experience this one night and we found a lot of fun. It is a capricious and animated gastronomic experience where a little chef ‘prepares’ his food before serving the real dish and his table becomes a 3D movie screen where the little chef entertains during his food.

Fine Cut Steakhouse is a classic grill that offers Premium cuts, the Eden restaurant offers a multisensory gastronomic experience in a botanical inspiration environment, while other options include RAW in 5, a Sushi restaurant and seafood with sea views and a new selection of raw bars, and Le Grand Bistro, a charming French bistro that serves the Parisian classic Parisian.

Entertainment and activities

Celebrity Apex offers a wide entertainment line: the latest generation theater in the front of the ship presents aerobatics and aerial acrobatics. Check out the daily newsletter of the shows and schedules. Eden is a multipurpose place that offers intimate performances and live music in an impressive environment inspired by the garden, while the club offers a versatile place that houses everything, from silent discos and live bands to Trivia and game shows. There is also a modern Vegas style casino with slot machines, blackjack, poker and roulette.

The SPA offers an impressive range of treatments, which include an algae wrapping, cryotherapy facials and a thermal suite with steam and saunas rooms, and the gym is fully equipped with squadton bicycles, yoga classes and personal training options.

In one word

From my initial reservation, which I did on the phone, to navigate on board, Celebrity Apex offered a friendly and professional cruise experience. From restaurants to cleaning and concierge staff, we find the exceptionally good service.

With its impressive design and its unique accommodation for gourmet food and high -tech entertainment, Apex offers a first -class cruise experience. While it may not be the best option for families with young children, it is perfect for travelers looking for a sophisticated and relaxed trip while discovering a wide variety of world destinations.
