Air trips have been a tense industry during the last four years, since airlines have had to deal with interruptions related to pandemic and system crises. Therefore, it is not too surprising that our readers emphasize key values such as safety, time performance and customer service when choosing their favorite national airline. While three operators can master the US market, our readers are not afraid to expand to other options to search for those key values. In the best awards in the world of 2024, the newest airlines, regional airlines and low -cost airlines are in the center of attention.
How the vote works
Every year for the survey of the best awards in our world, T+L asks readers who intervene about travel experiences worldwide, to share their opinions about the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruises, spas , airlines and more. More than 186,000 T+L readers completed the 2024 survey. A total of more than 700,000 votes were issued in more than 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
The airlines were classified specifically in the criteria below:
- Cabin comfort
- SERVICE IN FLIGHT
- Customer service
- Worth
For each characteristic, respondents could choose an excellent rating, above average, average, below average or poor. The final scores are the averages of these answers.
What readers loved
In both 2022 and 2023, the five main national airlines remained the same, although their specific classifications moved from one year to another. This year, those five airlines have been transferred on the stairs, missing by a newcomer to the best awards in the world. But more about our winner in a moment, let’s take a look at number 2 to number 5.
Selection No. 2, Hawaiian Airlines, a honoree of the ABA Hall of Fame, fell a place since its upper position last year. Breeze Airways, a low -cost airline that was launched in 2021, changed a place to No. 3. “Breeze has rethink trips in the low rate airline,” wrote a reader. “Easy. Ventosa comfort at an unbeatable price. And new aircraft!” Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines fell two points, until No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
According to the comments, the convenience and value of our readers were two of the most important factors to choose a favorite airline. “The best routes and connections. Not always the best price,” wrote one about Delta Air Lines (No. 5). “Exceptional prices for the first class, a large bargain in an economic airline,” wrote another about Breeze Airways.
Now, keep reading to discover everything about the best qualified domestic airline of our readers, according to the best awards in the world of 2024.
The winner
JSX

JSX has changed the way many people fly, and that is because it offers something that most airlines do not: convenience. The semi -privado carrier leaves private terminals, or FBO (fixed -based operators), as it would in a private jet, which means that it can cross a security program fully approved by the TSA. “Easy Check-in, as a private flying, almost,” a reader wrote. That means that it only needs to appear 20 minutes before a domestic flight. Then, there is the fact that JSX flies smaller airplanes with all business-class style seats, and the bar, snacks and Wi-Fi Starlink are included. If there is not something you do not like about JSX, it is the fact that it still does not fly everywhere. “I wish I flew to more cities,” wrote a reader. “They need more routes,” added another.
